A: The WatchDog™ system makes a page request to the URL you specify and monitors whether or not the site responds within the time limits you specify in your setup (Warning and Critical levels in your General Configuration). If the page request fails, WatchDog™ will retry the request according to the intervals you specify (The "Retries" field in your General Configuration). If the server still fails to get a successful response, the contacts for that site are notified via email/text message.

A: WatchDog™ checks your site according to the service option you chose when you signed up for your WatchDog™ account. WatchDog™ offers three service options:
15 min check: $12.95 per month or $129.50 per year
5 min check: $19.95 per month or $199.50 per year
2 min check: $34.95 per month or $349.50 per year

A: Absolutely. WatchDog™ can monitor as many sites you would like. Each additional URL is priced separately, depending on the service option you choose.

A: Many pager and digital services offer text-messaging via email, so you can use WatchDog™'s email notification to send a note to your pager or cell phone. Check with your service provider for details.

A: Yes. You have the option of adding multiple people to your contact list. Simply login to your MyComputer.com account and click on "Manage" next to WatchDog™. In your WatchDog™ manager, click on "Edit Contacts". You may add new contacts or edit your current contact information there.

A: Login to your MyComputer.com account, click on "Manage" next to WatchDog™. In your WatchDog™ manager, click on "Edit Settings". Under "Warning Levels", you define the warning and critical levels by choosing the "number of servers not responding". You can edit this information at any time. By defining these levels, you are also defining how often you are notified of site downtime by email or pager.

A: Yes! Simply purchase another URL by clicking on "Add a site" in your WatchDog™ Manager, and setup that URL to point to your competitor's site.
